We're getting in cozy mode here at the Dale's Fried Pies homestead. That means most of our free time is spent in loose fitting clothes eating popcorn and chocolate. Maybe not the best method for dealing with the onset of winter, but it works for us.
Every once in a while, though, we like to feel fancy. If you're having folks over for dinner, or hosting a holiday party, or just want something special, try this here cocktail. It's light and refreshing, but still embodies the rich fall flavors of pear and rosemary.
Rosemary Pear Sparkler
- 1/2 ripe pear cut into 1 inch chunks (we used Red Anjou)
- juice of lemon slice
- 2 oz rosemary vodka (2 cups of vodka infused for two weeks with 4 springs rosemary)
- ginger beer to taste
Muddle pear and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker. Add ice and rosemary vodka and shake. Strain into glass and top with ginger ale to taste.
